Project Description
EPA proposes to develop and stand-up a place-based estuary program in Florida’s northwest panhandle region. The estuary program will be modeled after EPA’s National Estuary Program and the project includes establishing the host organization, hiring key staff, developing Management and Technical committees, determining stressors and then developing and approving a Comprehensive Plan (e.g., CCMP). This project will serve as a pilot project for the Council to consider expanding Gulf-wide.
