The first phase of the project will enhance public access to natural resources and increase recreational opportunities at four sites in the Florida Panhandle: * Innerarity Point in Escambia County, Florida will involve acquisition of a 3.38-acre property and the building of a public park on the property. * A parcel in the City of Destin, Florida will involve acquisition of a 3.42-acre parcel and the building of a public park on the property. * A parcel in the City of Lynn Haven, Florida will involve acquisition of a 90.7-acre tract and the building of a public park on the property. * Island View Park in Franklin County will involve construction of a public park on a 7.3-acre parcel owned by Franklin County. The second phase of the project adjacent to Salinas Park in Gulf County, Florida involves acquisition of an approximately 6-acre parcel and the building of an extension of the public park on the property. Infrastructure will be constructed at each location to facilitate and enhance recreational use. The public parks will be donated to the appropriate local governments, who will be provided with operation and maintenance funds to maintain the parks for ten years. If sufficient funds remain, a third phase of the project will be proposed in which one additional property in the Florida Panhandle will be acquired and then donated to the appropriate local government(s) or state government.
