Habitat Restoration and Enhancement
Habitat restoration and disturbance removal for native fauna through the eradication of invasive rodents on two archipelagos: Arrecife Alacranes (Gulf of Mexico) and Banco Chinchorro (Caribbean). The long term outcomes include restoration of five prime-habitat islands. After removal of invasives, an increase in seabirds (Masked Boobie, Great Blue Heron) and sea turtles (e.g. Green Sea Turtle) reproductive success, as well as an ecoregional positive "spillover" effect is expected.through the eradication of invasive rodents on twoarchipelagos: Arrecife Alacranes (Gulf of Mexico) and BancoChinchorro (Caribbean)
