Project Description

The Louisiana Trustees Implementation Group Restoration (LA TIG) Plan & Environmental Assessment Plan #2 was written to provide restoration projects to provide and enhance recreational opportunities in Louisiana. Funds were reallocated from the Marine Fisheries Enhancement, Research and Science Center to fund the projects included in this plan. The LA-TIG released a draft restoration plan in December 2017 for a suite of recreational use projects, including the Lake Charles Science Center, artificial fishing reef improvements, improved access to Elmer’s Island, and Island Road fishing piers Pointe-Aux Chenes. The plan was finalized in July 2018.
