Project Description

This project used living shoreline restoration techniques to provide shoreline habitat and reduce erosion at Project GreenShores Site II within Pensacola Bay. Breakwaters were constructed to reduce wave energy and create reef and salt marsh habitats. Approximately nine acres of salt marsh habitat and four acres of reef habitat were created along this urban shoreline of Pensacola, Florida.
