Habitat Restoration and Enhancement
This project will use living shoreline restoration techniques to provide shoreline habitat and reduce erosion at Project GreenShores Site II within Pensacola Bay. Breakwaters will be constructed to reduce wave energy and create reef and salt marsh habitats. Approximately 6 to 8 acres of salt marsh habitat and 4 acres of reef habitat will be created along this urban shoreline of Pensacola, Florida.
