Project Description

The overarching goal of this project is to improve our understanding the dynamics and drivers of nutrient supply and sediment flux over the West Florida Shelf (WFS), and their impacts on water column and benthic productivity. Researchers will undertake a comprehensive multi-disciplinary study that will use preexisting and new information on physical and biological aspects of the WFS ecosystem, combined with physical, geochemical and connectivity models to address our goal. Partnerships with key stakeholders and end-users will aid in disseminating research findings and help improve management decision-making and other conservation efforts.
