Project Description
The RESTORE Council has approved activities in Council-Selected Restoration Component funding for the River Reintroduction into Maurepas Swamp project, sponsored by Coastal Protection And Restoration Authority of Louisiana. This project will implement a river reintroduction project through conveyance of Mississippi River water into the Maurepas Swamp to improve the structure, function, and resilience of the coastal forest habitat through reintroduction of fresh oxygenated water, nutrients, and sediment.
