Project Description

The project will implement a multi-year, phased activity to plan and develop an approach leveraging the applicable, standardized U.S. Environmental Protection Agency National Coastal Condition Assessment protocols as well as fisheries population and food web evaluation protocols. These protocols will be used to evaluate the ecological effects of the Nutrient Reduction; Water Quality; and Wetland, Coastal and Nearshore Habitat restoration projects of the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) National Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) on ecological condition of estuarine ecosystems, such as fish and water column invertebrate species that rely on estuaries for part of their life cycle.
