Project Description
The Washington Avenue Gateway Grant Is Awarded To The Mississippi Department Of Environmental Quality Under The Restore Act Direct Component To Provide Roadway Upgrades To The Highway 609 Washington Avenue Corridor. The Project Objective Is To Construct Pedestrian Friendly Features Such As Sidewalks, Crosswalks, Traffic Signals, As Well As A Median To Better Control Access. The Project Will Benefit The Coastal Communities Of The Gulf Coast Region. The Subrecipient, Jackson County Board Of Supervisors, Will Carry Out The Scope Of Work For The Project.
