Project Description

Galveston Island, Texas is a barrier island that acts as protection for coastal wetland and nearshore habitat, and it supports a large number of bird species throughout the year by providing breeding and foraging grounds and migratory stopover habitat. This project will contribute to the conservation of approximately 142 acres of barrier island habitat on Galveston Island in perpetuity through a conservation easement.
