Project Description

The Fiscal Year 2022 RESTORE Mitigation program grant is awarded to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) under the RESTORE Act Direct Component program to support three individual projects. The objective of the projects under the program is to mitigate harm to fish, wildlife, and natural resources. These projects will benefit the communities in the City of Port Lavaca and along the Texas region of the Gulf of Mexico. The subrecipient for each project is as follows: (1) Texas Reef Initiative (subrecipient: Texas Parks and Wildlife Department), (2) City of Port Lavaca Shoreline Clean-Up (subrecipient: City of Port Lavaca), and (3) Lavaca River Abandoned Oil Wells (subrecipient: Railroad Commission of Texas).
