Project Description
The Texas Gulf Shrimp Consumption, Tourism and Marketing project is awarded to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality under the RESTORE Act Direct Component program to develop and perform marketing and tourism strategies that will educate consumers about Texas Gulf shrimp and coastal tourism. The objective is to promote the consumption of seafood harvested from the Gulf Coast Region and increase opportunities for Texas shrimpers by meeting current demands and challenges faced by the industry. The project will benefit Texas coastal communities where the operation of the Texas shrimping industry takes place. The scope of work will be carried out by subrecipient, Texas Department of Agriculture.
