Project Description
This chemical engineering project focused on the studying the following: 1) the effects of BP dispersants on adsorption/desorption and the biological fate of persistent oil hydrocarbons, 2) enhancement of oil/dispersant degradation in mesocosms, 3) the effects of oil/dispersant on mobility and biotransformation of toxic metals in gulf coastal wetlands, and 4) the formation and fate of dispersant/oil/particulate in deep water.
