Project Description
The Coastal Dune Lakes Hydrological Restoration Project awarded to Walton County, Florida under the RESTORE Act Direct Component program is to construct a new 40-foot precast concrete bridge and supporting components on County Road 30A between County Road 83 (South County Highway/Old Blue Mountain Road) and County Road 283 (South) over Little Redfish Lake. The project includes the demolition of the existing culvert and pedestrian bridge which will occur during the clearing and grubbing of the site. Approximately 680-feet of roadway and multi-use path will be realigned, and new drainage system will be constructed. Project goals include constructing a new road bridge for motorists’ safety while restoring the connection and circulation of Little Redfish Lake, a coastal dune lake, and improve the associated natural communities. The project will benefit the Gulf Coast Region. There is no subrecipient on this project.
