Project Description
This project will acquire and enhance a 10 to 15-acre parcel at Indian Pass for inclusion in St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge (NWR). This acquisition will ensure boating access to the Refuge for continued habitat protection and management activities that will protect and enhance resources injured by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on St. Vincent NWR. Additionally, this project will increase public access to recreational activities, such as fishing and boating, by increasing parking availability, establishing a kayak launch area, and creating the Refuge's first visitor contact station.
