Project Description
Ms. Kujawa is a policy researcher and data scientist originally from Burlington, Vermont. She is currently working to complete a M.Sc. in Water Science, Policy, and Management at the University of Oxford (to be completed summer 2020), where her dissertation reflects on equity in U.S. federal response to natural disasters. She holds previous degrees in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (M.S., 2015) and Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College (A.B., 2011). Her professional background includes recent work at the Lake Champlain Basin Program, where she helped to facilitate transboundary watershed management and policy in the United States and Canada, and previous research at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, where her work focused on aquatic ecosystems and how best to manage them. Her current research interests include environmental justice, equity in community resilience, and the applicability of large data sets for answering social science questions.
