Project Description
This project includes the design, permitting, and construction of a 10,600‐linear feet foreshore rock dike along Freshwater Bayou Canal in Vermilion Parish. The project will tie into an existing shoreline protection structure previously constructed along Freshwater Bayou Canal and will extend northward for approximately 10,600‐linear feet towards the opening at Little Vermilion Bay. The completed rock dike will protect the shoreline and adjacent marsh fromfurther erosion, tidal scour and saltwater intrusion in the Freshwater Bayou Canal.
