Project Description
This restoration project is a continuation of Phase 1, which created 68 acres of new marsh in the same general area in 2016. The project consists of dredging material from Lake Lery, placing the material behind containment berms in the target area, and planting the containment berms and cells with native vegetation. St. Bernard Parish will monitor the project through January 2024 to determine the number of acres of marsh created (target 29 acres) and nourished (target 10 acres).
