Project Description

This project is phase I of the Africatown Welcome Center. The funds will allow ADCNR to oversee the subrecipient agreement with the City of Mobile, which in turn will procure consultant and design services to produce engineering and design documents under Phase I for the subsequent construction of the Africatown Welcome Center. The Africatown Welcome Center will be a public facility dedicated to the promotion tourism related to the Africatown community’s cultural heritage, and a strategic community destination, linking various community development initiatives and historical sites.
