Project Description

The City of Mobile will plan and implement a comprehensive GPS digital inventory of existing storm water infrastructure features which convey flow into Mobile Bay. Completion of these planning activities will result in generation of a comprehensive GIS map database, provide data facilitating further studies and watershed modeling, and provide a clearer understanding of the physical dynamics of the City’s stormwater network. Repetitive flood loss properties within the City will be assessed and described through the project, and the City’s floodplain management plan will be updated through the development of a design manual supplement, describing best management practices.
