Project Description

Construct approximately 20 acres of reef habitat and plant approximately 30 acres of emergent marsh along Highway 98 between Carrabelle and Eastpoint, FL. Construction of the reefs is intended to attenuate enough wave energy to allow for marsh to become established. The project will increase the ecological health of Apalachicola Bay, ultimately benefiting resources impacted by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
