Project Description

Funds under this award will be used to benefit 680 acres of migratory bird habitat in southwestern Manitoba. Approximately 630 acres will be permanently conserved by conservation easements and 50 acres will be enhanced. This project will provide and support essential breeding, brood rearing, and foraging habitat for a wide variety of wetland-dependent migratory birds, including species such as Lesser Scaup, Mallard, Canvasback, Redhead, Northern Pintail, Ring-necked Duck, and American Wigeon.
