Project Description

This project will utilize conservation easements to perpetually protect 560 acres of wetland and upland complexes. Project activities will benefit critical wetland and associated upland habitat required for breeding, brood rearing, and foraging. Many species will benefit from project activities including American Wigeon, Canvasback, Lesser Scaup, Mallard, Northern Pintail, Redhead, Ring-necked Duck, American Bittern, Horned Grebe, Pied-billed Grebe, Yellow Rail, Le Conte’s Sparrow, Nelson’s Sharp-tailed Sparrow, Marsh Wren, and Sedge Wren.
