Project Description

Ms. Mazur has an M.S. in marine resource management from Oregon State University and a B.S. in marine science and biology from the University of Miami. Her master’s research examined how environmental information can be better communicated from researchers to Oregon’s natural resource managers using non-traditional communication tools. Oregon Sea Grant awarded Emily the Robert E. Malouf Marine Studies Scholarship in recognition of this work’s capacity for improving decision-making in Oregon’s coastal communities. Ms. Mazur is interested in working at the intersection of science, management, and community engagement to develop creative solutions to our complex environmental problems.
