Tiering from the Barataria Basin Strategic Restoration Plan (SRP #3), this Restoration Plan #3.3 focused on restoration of wetlands, coastal and nearshore habitats through marsh creation within the Barataria Basin. Initially evaluated in SRP #3, this project was the largest marsh creation project in Barataria Basin to date and utilized the Long Distance Sediment Pipeline to bring dredged sediment from the Mississippi River into the basin wetlands to create approximately 1,200 acres of wetlands.
