Project Description
The Pointe-aux-Chenes Wildlife Management Area (WMA) Recreational Use Enhancement project will consist of four discrete elements: 1) pirogue pullovers, 2) a pirogue launch, 3) fishing piers at water control structures and 4) a boat launch renovation. These activities will occur within the Montegut, Point-aux-Chenes, and Grand Bayou Management Units of the WMA, as well as the designated limited access areas (LAA). These features will enhance recreational access and provide improved recreational facilities for fishing, hunting, and boating.
