The project includes the acquisition and conservation of approximately 300 acres of wetland and coastal habitats on Follets Island between San Luis Pass and Drum Bay, Texas. The project will conserve dune, coastal strand prairie, and marsh habitat in perpetuity through fee-simple acquisition. Once acquired, the land will be transferred to and managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) for the purpose of habitat preservation.
