Habitat Restoration and Enhancement
The Bird Island Cove Habitat Restoration Engineering project conducts engineering services and develops design plans to restore and protect up to 170 acres of estuarine marsh complex in Bird Island Cove in West Galveston Bay, Galveston County. This phase of the project investigates on-going habitat degradation issues and develops restoration strategies to increase marsh productivity and longevity.
