Project Description

This project involves the acquisition of and construction of access improvements on two separate parcels of property, which total approximately 2 acres, to collectively offer passive recreational opportunities, public parking, and restroom facilities at Dauphin Island. Once acquired, the Town of Dauphin Island will manage the land. This project is designed to enhance access to the Alabama shoreline, including Gulf-facing beaches. Added parking, restroom facilities, and other passive recreational amenities will increase public access and enhance the quality of visitor experiences.
