Project Description
The objectives of the program are to: 1) assess needed improvements for some of the county’s fourteen older urban areas which were developed under old flood and drainage standards and before drainage systems were implemented to protect water quality, and 2) to develop a coastal watershed management plan to address the needs. The initial planning project includes the assessment of three of the fourteen urban areas that are currently underway and in various stages of completion (Pearce Drain/Gap Creek, Bowlees Creek and Mill Creek) to determine necessary improvements to meet current stormwater standards; plus one additional new project area assessment.
