Project Description
This project is a beach nourishment and habitat enhancement project along approximately 2,200 linear feet of St. Joseph Peninsula from Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Monument R-103 to 105.5. The project includes beach nourishment, dune construction, and vegetative island plantings to create an environmental enhancement/wildlife corridor along a critically eroded beach adversely affecting the habitat for nesting sea turtles, the St. Andrew beach mouse, and non-breeding piping plovers and red knots.
